In this case, our clients, a husband and wife, were traveling on Marietta Highway in Cherokee County when another driver attempted to enter the roadway and failed to yield. The resulting collision struck the passenger side of their vehicle. The responding officer determined that the other driver was at fault for causing the crash.
Following the collision, both clients began experiencing neck and back pain and sought medical treatment.
One of our clients reported neck, shoulder, back, knee, and leg pain that interfered with daily activities, including driving, lifting, exercising, and household responsibilities. She underwent an extensive course of chiropractic treatment and rehabilitation. Despite conservative care, her symptoms persisted, leading to advanced imaging that revealed multiple lumbar disc herniations. She later sought treatment with a spine specialist for ongoing neck, back, and radiating leg pain and ultimately underwent a lumbar epidural steroid injection in an effort to manage her symptoms.
Our other client also experienced significant neck, back, shoulder, and knee pain following the collision. Diagnostic imaging revealed disc injuries in both his cervical and lumbar spine. He underwent months of chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, pain management, and spinal injections. Although treatment provided some improvement, he continued to experience ongoing neck and back pain, particularly with movement, sleeping, and daily activities.
Both clients required substantial medical care over several months as they worked toward recovery from their injuries. Even after completing extensive treatment, each continued to experience lingering symptoms related to the collision.
