Best Atlanta Area Pumpkin Patches and U-Pick Apple Orchards (Fall 2020)

We’re big fans of all things Autumn here at The Champion Firm. In Atlanta, October usually signals the start for all the cool Fall weather and family fun. Apple-picking in North Georgia, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, cider – we love it all. To celebrate October 1, we’ve rounded up our favorite Cobb County and Atlanta-area Pumpkin Patches plus a few North Georgia Apple Orchards you may want to check out this year just an hour or so from the city.

NORTH GEORGIA APPLE-PICKING

RED APPLE BARN (Ellijay, GA)
Admission is $8.75 and includes a tractor ride to the orchard, an apple from the orchard, a cup of apple cider, an apple cider doughnut, two flowers, water, rock and pumpkin painting, games, picnic areas and playground for the kids. They also have a pumpkin patch opening this month!

R&A ORCHARDS (Ellijay, GA)
Farm tractor tours and apple picking are offered every weekend in October with the last ticket sold at 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday.

HILLCREST ORCHARDS (Ellijay, GA)
Open daily and offering a full Fall farm experience in addition to u-pick apples. Admission varies from $8 – $14 per person and the Farm offers additional activities for all ages.

B.J. REECE ORCHARDS (Ellijay, GA)
Visit on weekends for all the farm fun, including apple cannons, wagon rides (farm tours), petting farm, scavenger hunt, cow milking, jumping pillow, cow train rides, pig races, pony rides and racing ziplines. These activities operate every Saturday and Sunday while the u-pick orchards are open. The petting farm is the only experience open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
