SPOTLIGHT: National Hispanic American Heritage Month

SPOTLIGHT! Today kicks off National Hispanic American Heritage month. Running from September 15th – October 15th, this month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries.

We asked one of our paralegals, Claudia, a proud Nicaraguan-American 🇳🇮 what this month represents to her:

“It’s the time to recognize the Hispanic American community in the many ways it has contributed to the history, culture and achievements of the United States. It’s the time to celebrate our roots and influence of the Hispanic culture in our society and how it has been embraced by in the United States.”

“Es cuándo se le da reconocimiento a las contribuciones que la comunidad Hispanoamericana ha tenido en la historia, cultura y los logros que forman parte de los Estado Unidos. Es el momento para festejar las raíces e influencias de nuestra cultura y para celebrar la aceptación Hispanoamericana en los Estados Unidos. ¡Me siento orgullosa de ser nicaragüense-americana!”
