Kate attended Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, TN where she completed her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for a year she went on to complete her Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University College of Law.

“My focus as an attorney is to bring empathy, diligence, and compassion to the client process. I have been on the other side of personal injury and understand how daunting it feels to have to handle all of the moving parts that follow an already difficult experience.”

During her time in law school, Kate interned at the Georgia Advocacy Office, Atlanta Legal Aid, and the Truancy Intervention Project. The highlight of those internships was assisting in a successful lawsuit for a client who’d been treated unfairly and deprived of his educational rights under federal law. In addition, Kate worked as a law clerk at Flint, Connolly, & Walker, LLP in Canton, Ga where she helped draft pleadings and assisted in the discovery process for a variety of civil cases.

Kate and her husband Jon live in Peachtree Corners with their mini bernedoodle, Winston. When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Kate volunteers at Perimeter Church and serves on the scholarship committee for Covenant College.
