Our client in this case was the passenger in a vehicle hit by a driver who failed to yield at a stop sign. The collision happened with considerable force, causing heavy damage to both vehicles.
The right side of our client’s body was slammed into the passenger-side door on impact, and she immediately experienced pain in her neck, back, knee, and throughout the entire right side of her body.
Over the following weeks and months, our client’s pain did not improve, even with the administration of steroid injections. A subsequent CT scan revealed severe injuries at the C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, and C6-7 discs of her spine, requiring cervical spine injections. Her orthopedist could not rule out the need for a C3 laminectomy and a C4-6 laminoplasty in the future. Additionally, surgical intervention was recommended to treat our client’s ongoing knee pain.
