Darl’s Background
After graduating magna cum laude from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, he served in a highly coveted federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Hugh Lawson in the Middle District of Georgia. Darl credits this as one of the best experiences of his life.
After that clerkship, Darl spent time on the defense side of personal injury law. This is where he saw the lengths large insurance companies would go to deny their obligation to injury victims. While he learned their tactics first-hand, he also quickly realized that he wanted to spend his legal career helping people through the personal injury process.
Darl and his wife Julia reside in Smyrna, GA with their two children.

Now, a highly esteemed trial attorney with a reputation for working tirelessly for his clients, Darl has helped obtain over $100 million dollars in injury cases throughout Georgia. In recognition of this, the National Trial Lawyers organization has consistently selected Darl as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in Georgia and Top 40 Under 40. Also, Georgia Super Lawyers has recognized him as a Rising Star, an honor given to the top 2.5% of Georgia lawyers under age 40 or those in practice for ten years or less.
Darl credits these successes as a personal injury attorney to his passion for ensuring that his clients are fully compensated when they are harmed by someone’s negligence and his philosophy to provide client-centered representation. Darl is a firm believer that good communication is essential between a lawyer and client and makes being accessible and straightforward with his clients a priority.
