$5,080,000 Recovered for Family of Passenger Killed in Ambulance Crash

$5,080,000 Recovered for Family of Passenger Killed in Ambulance Crash

The Champion Firm recently obtained a settlement for the policy limits of all available insurance coverage in a tragic case involving the death of a passenger in an ambulance.

The crash occurred when the ambulance was transporting a patient to a local hospital. The ambulance driver had the lights and sirens activated but failed to yield at a stop sign to an oncoming vehicle.

The ambulance driver pulled in front of the other vehicle and was t-boned. Tragically, the patient died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

The liability insurer for the ambulance company originally denied liability, claiming it was the other driver’s fault. Through investigation, The Champion Firm was able to show that the ambulance driver violated industry standards and policies and procedures related to navigating intersections.

Attorneys Darl Champion, Eric Funt, and Rebecca Clements litigated this case for our client’s family and recovered a settlement of $5,080,000 for them. This represented every dollar of available insurance.

All further details of this case are confidential due to the terms of the settlement agreement.
