$130,000 Recovered for Mother and Son in Loganville Car Crash

$130,000 Recovered for Mother and Son in Loganville Car Crash

Our clients in this case were a mother and her minor son, who were injured when a driver behind them failed to stop with the flow of traffic.

Our client brought her vehicle to a stop while waiting for the driver in front of her to turn left. The at-fault driver, who was cited for following too closely, did not stop with traffic and violently crashed into the rear passenger side of our client’s vehicle.

As a result of the crash, both of our clients were injured. Walton County EMS evaluated them at the scene of the crash, at which time the mother noted she was experiencing lower back and knee pain. She was taken to the hospital and treated, but continued to experience pain in her lower back, knee, and neck for months following the wreck. She also experienced recurring migraines.

The boy suffered a concussion from the wreck, as well as ongoing anxiety around riding in the back seat of a car.

Personal injury attorney Lisa Bero took on this case for our clients and successfully argued for the recovery of economic and non-economic damages. Ultimately, the at-fault driver’s insurance agreed to a settlement of over $130,000 for our clients.
