Confidential Settlement Reached for Family Injured in Fulton County Car Accident

In this case, we represented a family consisting of a husband, wife, and their daughter. Our clients were in their vehicle, stopped at a traffic light. When their light turned green, our clients proceeded through the intersection. Out of nowhere, a driver on the opposite side of the intersection turned left and crashed into our clients’ vehicle. One of our clients suffered an ankle injury, which required surgery to repair, while another suffered headaches, and the final client had elbow pain following the crash.

Our client with the ankle injury underwent surgery two-and-a-half years after the wreck, which the Defendants in this case tried to claim was a “delay in treatment,” and attempted to suggest that either the surgery had a cause other than the wreck, or that the Plaintiff was to blame for her own pain and suffering.

Attorney Eric Funt and The Champion Firm team took a very successful deposition of our client’s treating surgeon, who explained that the wreck caused her injury and that, because of the nature of this specific ankle injury, many patients try to heal without surgery. As a result, we were able to prove the time between the wreck and the surgery was appropriate and reach a settlement for our clients in this case.
