Woman Hit by MARTA Bus in Pedestrian Accident

A MARTA bus hit and injured a woman in downtown Atlanta on the morning of Friday, January 15, 2016. The woman was in a crosswalk at the intersection of Forsyth and Alabama Streets when the bus hit her. Police cited the bus driver for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The woman was taken to Grady Hospital for evaluation of a shoulder injury. Bus accidents and pedestrian accidents can cause serious injury. Unfortunately, they are an all too frequent occurrence in the Atlanta area. In just the last couple of days the local news has featured a couple of stories involving pedestrian accidents, including one that killed a man.
