Nick Spratlin was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and raised in College Park, Georgia, after moving to Atlanta with his grandparents. His journey into the world of film began shortly after graduating high school in 2016, when his love of movies evolved into a passion for videography and cinematography.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media from Georgia State University, where he honed his skills as both a cinematographer and director. Through hands-on projects and collaboration with fellow filmmakers, Nick developed his visual storytelling abilities and a deeper appreciation for the art of shaping emotion through film.
For Nick, the most fulfilling part of his work is the ability to influence how a viewer experiences a story. “Being able to shape the emotions around a piece of art is amazing,” he says. He brings an open yet driven approach to his craft, encouraging growth, grace, and continuous learning: “I always want to learn more and pass that down to others who want to learn.”
When he’s not behind the camera, Nick enjoys working on cars, modifying and building engines, and also plays soccer, a sport he’s loved since his days playing in an indoor league at Georgia State.
He lives in Atlanta with his Siberian Husky, Luka, and continues to draw inspiration from the city’s fast-growing creative energy.
