Celebrating the Firm’s 10-Year Anniversary
June 1 marks the 10-year anniversary of The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C.. A decade ago, in 2014, I left a well-established plaintiff’s firm with steady pay to open my own practice with zero employees (other than my adorable daughter, pictured above), 10 cases, and something like $15,000 in the bank. Now, The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C. makes significantly more revenue than I would have had I stayed at that plaintiff’s firm, and we’ve recovered well over $100 million for our personal injury clients.
Ten years ago, I was renting a single office room from a family law attorney. Today, I work out of an 11,000-square-foot building that I own with a fellow lawyer and great friend of mine, and I have over 25 employees.
I was terrified when I started my firm. There was so much I didn’t know. What if I made a mistake? What if I failed? Indeed, I have made a lot of mistakes along the way. Some are so ridiculous it’s kind of funny to look back on. But each mistake made me better and helped me learn. I know I’ll make more mistakes in the future. The key is not avoiding them out of fear. Rather, acknowledge the fears that exist and that mistakes will happen, but keep moving forward anyway.
A decade later, I want to extend my sincerest thanks, appreciation, and respect to the many clients as well as fellow attorneys who have trusted The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C. with their cases. It has been an honor to work with each of you to hold those liable for life-altering injuries and deaths accountable. We will strive to continue upholding the standards of excellence we’ve become known for in the years ahead.
