Our client in this case was driving north on Georgia State Route 401 in Crisp County. A driver traveling in the same direction in the lane next to her suddenly changed lanes and violently struck the passenger side of our client’s vehicle.
As a result of the crash, our client suffered serious injuries, including injuries to her neck, lower back, and left knee. Her neck pain was also causing her to experience ongoing headaches, which in return also caused her frequent nausea and dizziness.
Medical staff ordered an MRI for our client, which revealed several disc bulges and anterior spurring in her lumbar spine. The MRI also revealed C4-C5 and C5-C6 herniations. An MRI of her knee also revealed further injuries, including a tear of her medial meniscus.
In addition to paying for the initial treatment of her injuries, our client also had to pay for ongoing physical therapy necessary for her healing. Despite keeping up with her physical therapy regularly, our client continued to experience ongoing pain and required Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and surgery to treat the tear in her knee.
In addition to the cost of our client's medical bills, she also experienced the economic loss of approximately two weeks of wages from work as a result of her injuries.
Personal injury attorney Lisa Bero proved that the at-fault driver was responsible for injuring our client and successfully settled our client’s case for $100,000.
