Damages Recovered in Wal-Mart Slip-And-Fall Accident

Damages Successfully Recovered in Walmart Slip-And-Fall Accident

Our client was shopping at a Walmart Supercenter in Moultrie, Georgia when she slipped in a puddle of water leaking from a nearby flower display and fell hard to the ground. There were no wet-floor or other warning signs to alert our client to the standing water. In falling, our client hit her left knee and right wrist, injuring them both. She went directly to the emergency department where she was diagnosed with a strain of the thoracic spine, strain of the lumbar spine, a wrist sprain, and knee contusion.

Our client was prescribed pain management medication and sent home but, over the following weeks, her pain continued.

She sought out additional treatments for her injuries, including orthopedic care and an MRI. The MRI revealed a possible lower annular fissure at L5-S1 and L3-4 with disc desiccation at L3-4 through L5-S1, foraminal narrowing at L4-5 and L5-S1, and central disc protrusion at L5-4 S1. Our client underwent a lumbar facet injection to treat the joint pain bilaterally at the L3-S1 level. In total, her medical bills cost her $27,140.

Attorney Bill Daniel and The Champion Firm team successfully argued the facts of this case against Walmart, and won a confidential settlement for our client.
