Shonna was born in Marietta and raised in Dallas, Georgia. Surrounded by family, friends, and a deep-rooted connection to her community, Shonna brings a local passion and a giving mindset to her work every day.
Although law had intrigued her since childhood, it wasn’t until her mid-30s that she decided to officially pursue a career in the legal field. After earning her Paralegal Certificate, she found her calling in personal injury law in a rather serendipitous way: while getting her hair done, her stylist mentioned an attorney who was hiring. “It felt meant to be, like God placed me in the field I needed to be in,” Shonna says.
Shonna worked with one personal injury attorney for nearly six years before being referred to The Champion Firm, where she continues her passion for helping people when they need it most. To her, the best part about being a paralegal is showing care for others and making a difference during what is often one of the hardest times in someone’s life.
Outside of work, Shonna is an active member of Freedom Church in Acworth, where she and her church family enjoy giving back through community efforts like their seasonal outreach event, "Paint the Town Orange." In the past while she was in school, she was also an active participant in the color guard, drama club, and newspaper staff.
Shonna and her husband share their home with Roman, a Catahoula Leopard Dog named after Roman Reigns (a nod to her WWE fan status). In her free time, she enjoys working out, taking walks with her husband and Roman, and diving into a good book. After reading countless personal development titles, she’s recently rediscovered her love for fiction.
Shonna is thankful for the many blessings in her life. She’s especially proud of her three adult children. Her youngest son is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps and she is proud to be a Marine Mom. She also credits her husband as her biggest supporter and constant source of encouragement.
