Turning Two $0 Insurance Offers Into $850,000 in Settlements

Two cases. Two $0 offers. $850,000 in total settlements.

In the last few weeks, we resolved two cases that were referred to us for litigation after the clients were offered nothing.

We filed suit and got $500,000 in one and $350,000 in another.

Both were denial-of-liability cases, and one had some particularly thorny causation issues layered on top.

While I certainly appreciate a clear liability case, the truth is that these are some of the most rewarding cases we handle.

Why?

Because they represent something important.

They allow us to right a wrong when a deserving client has been told they may not be able to get anything. They allow us to dig in, challenge the narrative, and change the outcome. And they make the value of good lawyering unmistakably clear.

Turning a $0 offer into meaningful compensation is one of the clearest reminders of the difference advocacy can make, not just in the case, but in the client’s life.
