In this case, our client was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Experiment Station Road at North Main Street in Watkinsville, Georgia. The driver was waiting to safely make a right turn when another driver failed to stop and rear-ended the vehicle. The responding officer determined that the other driver caused the collision due to following too closely.
In the days following the crash, our client began treatment for neck, upper back, and right knee pain. His symptoms persisted despite chiropractic treatment, and MRIs were ordered to further evaluate his injuries.
Imaging of his cervical spine revealed multiple disc herniations, including annular tears and areas of foraminal narrowing. Imaging of his right knee showed significant injuries, including a meniscus tear. Additional evaluation and imaging confirmed an ACL tear.
Ultimately, our client had to undergo surgery to treat the ACL and meniscus tears.
Attorney Darl Champion represented our client and secured a $150,000 recovery on his behalf.
