$100,000 Recovered in Rear-End Collision Knee Injury and Post-Concussion Symptoms

$100,000 Recovered in Rear-End Collision Knee Injury and Post-Concussion Symptoms

In this case, our client was traveling eastbound on Duluth Highway NW in Gwinnett County, Georgia. As she approached an intersection, she came to a stop for a traffic light. The driver behind her failed to stop and struck the rear of her vehicle.

Following the crash, our client sought treatment at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, where she reported headaches and muscle soreness. In the days that followed, her symptoms persisted, and she sought additional care for ongoing neck, back, and knee pain.

Further evaluation revealed injuries to her cervical spine, lumbar spine, and left knee. Imaging later confirmed disc herniations in her neck and tears in the meniscus of her left knee. She also experienced ongoing headaches, dizziness, and difficulty with concentration, which led to a neurological evaluation and a diagnosis of post-concussive symptoms.

Our client underwent a course of treatment that included physical therapy, medication, and injections to help manage her pain. Despite these efforts, her symptoms continued. She was ultimately recommended for knee surgery and additional spinal treatment.

Attorney Amanda Claxton represented our client and secured a $100,000 recovery for her.
