Jonathan Thew was born in the suburbs of Liverpool, England, in a region known as “The Wirral.” He studied law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, earning his LLB (Hons), a degree fully focused on legal education. He then completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law in Chester before beginning his career at a firm in Liverpool.
Jonathan knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in law—his 9th-grade work experience week at a litigation firm in Liverpool confirmed that calling. “I decided to work towards becoming a Solicitor, as I wanted to have day-to-day contact with my clients, get to know them and their cases thoroughly, and help them to solve their problems. Having those strong client relationships was paramount to me.”
After relocating to the United States in 2012 with his wife, Kelly, Jonathan continued his legal career in Atlanta, working in contract, estate, and property litigation; the same fields that he specialised in back in England. But after a personal family experience with a serious accident, Jonathan was drawn to personal injury law. Helping individuals through difficult times and complex legal matters quickly became his professional passion.
As Litigation Manager, Jonathan enjoys working closely with clients and attorneys to guide cases forward and help resolve challenging problems.
Outside the office, Jonathan is a proud dad of two and currently coaches his son Oliver’s football team as part of the Lassiter Junior Trojans organization. He’s a former rugby player, and also played football for the Merseyside Nighthawks in the British American Football League, and remains a loyal fan of both football and rugby. These days, you can often find him at independent pro wrestling shows with his kids, or watching a big game.
Jonathan and his family enjoy living near Atlanta, where they can take advantage of the city’s sports, entertainment, and travel opportunities—plus stay well-connected with loved ones back in England.
