Kate was born and raised in Cumming, GA. She went to the University of Georgia and received a bachelor's degree in English. In college, she was the Secretary for Sigma Alpha Omega and an ambassador for the Franklin Ambassadors Program. During her time at UGA, she was also a part of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA) and several other charities in Athens, GA.
Kate’s favorite part about being a paralegal is the client interaction. Working with clients on their personal injury cases is very meaningful work, and she enjoys having the opportunity to play a small role in alleviating the difficult experiences our clients face. She loves being able to help people in a tangible way while also getting to read and investigate cases from start to finish.
She was also drawn to being a paralegal in the personal injury space because of the job’s combination of client-centric work and the intensive focus on reading and writing. A lot of what she does involves reading through police reports, medical records, statements, etc. and she enjoys being able to draft letters and pleadings that highlight a client's experience to ultimately help them through a traumatic event.
Kate loves living in the Atlanta area because there is always something to do. She particularly enjoys the great restaurants and shows, and finds the people here to be very kind.
In her free time, Kate likes to play with her little dog (that she says is probably some form of a chihuahua) named Jasper.
