A local sanitation worker in Cobb County was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident today. The collision happened when he was struck by a pickup truck while loading trash into the back of a garbage truck. The crash took place on Austell Road in Cobb County between Veterans Memorial Highway and Perkerson Mill Road. Based on the initial evidence, it appears the driver of the pickup truck was distracted. Unfortunately, the injured sanitation worker, who works for American Disposal Services, lost both of his legs due to the negligence of this distracted driver. Our firm is committed to helping raise awareness on the dangers of distracted driving. Our firm recently produced a public service announcement video on distracted driving. As this serious car accident demonstrates, never text and drive and always pay attention to the road in front of you.
