In this case, our client was injured in a car crash at the intersection of Asa Dorsey Road and Lothridge Road in White County, Georgia. He had stopped at the intersection, checked for oncoming traffic, and began to proceed when another driver traveling northbound came out of nowhere and struck his vehicle.
Initially, our client was cited as being at-fault for the wreck, but data obtained from the other driver’s crash data retrieval (CDR) system showed that, in the seconds leading up to the crash, the driver was traveling at extremely high speeds, reaching over 98 mph in a 45mph zone before braking and still traveling more than 70 mph at the time of impact. A witness at the scene also observed the vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the high-impact car crash, our client suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including a fractured rib and fractures in his lumbar spine.
In the weeks that followed, our client continued to experience ongoing neck and back pain, with symptoms radiating into his extremities. Further evaluation and imaging revealed additional spinal conditions, including disc injuries and nerve damage.
He underwent multiple spinal injections and later an endoscopic rhizotomy procedure targeting the affected areas of his lower spine. However, even after extensive treatment, including emergency care, ongoing therapy, injections, and surgery, he continued to experience chronic pain and functional limitations.
